By connecting Stylehub to Facebook, it enables you to take all the advantage of the Facebook Product Catalog, to display your products on your Facebook page, under the shopping tab, in posts, and in ads.
When users click on the products, they will arrive on the product details page in your webshop.
Since Instagram is a Facebook company, the method of the catalog synchronization is the same for both. When you push your catalog to Facebook, it'll allow you to showcase your products on Instagram as well. Read more here:
Thanks to our natively provided product data feeds, you are able to synchronize your Stylehub catalog to Facebook in an easy way.
Good to know
In the future, users will be able to directly purchase products on Facebook and Instagram. Currently, it is not available.
What you will need before you can synchronize your catalog:
- A personal Facebook account to log in
- An active Facebook Business Account
- At least one product in Stylehub
Preparing your catalog
Please, make sure that all the products you want to push to Facebook have the necessary attributes properly filled. Read more about how to add these attributes to your products here: Extending Product Information for Facebook and Google
Required product attributes:
- Brand or MPN/GTIN/EAN/JAN/ISBN
Recommended product attributes:
- Facebook Product Category
- Google Product Category
Stylehub Data Feeds
Navigate to Store / Integrations / Data Feeds.
Here you'll find your Facebook Product Data Feed URL generator. You can select your target country, language, and currency which you would like to get a product feed for. After you changed these settings according to your needs, Click on the "Copy URL" button.
Facebook Business Suite
Login to Facebook Business suite at https://business.facebook.com/.
At the top left, make sure you're in the proper business account.
Click on Commerce in the side menu.
Now you are in the Facebook Commerce Manager. If you don't have a store already, follow the instructions by Facebook to create one.
Again, make sure that you're managing the desired business and store, at the top left corner.
Go to Catalog / Data Sources from the side navigation.
In Data Source page, click on the Add Items button at the top right then select Add Multiple Items in the dropdown.
In the next step, choose Data Feed then click Next.
At the upload options, choose Scheduled feed (Use a file hosted on a website to automatically add and update your inventory) then hit Next.
At the next step, you need to paste the previously copied Data Feed URL from the Stylehub user interface.
Leave the Username and Password fields empty. Do not share your Stylehub account credentials with anybody, do not enter it anywhere except Stylehub.
Then you'll be asked to schedule the updates. You can leave it on default, you can go with Hourly synchronization.
At the last step, you need to select the currency which with you would like to upload your products, it has to be the same that you have selected in Stylehub when you copied the data feed URL.
You can give this data feed a name. It may consist of the name of your store, "Stylehub", the country, language, and the currency you are willing to upload with this feed. For example, "DemoStore Stylehub Denmark English DKK".
In case you changed your mind or realized that you want different settings, you can still return to Stylehub and get a URL for another country, currency, or language. Then you can go back to the "Set Up Feed" step by clicking on it in the left-side navigation.
When your settings seems to be right, you can click on the Upload button.
Now, Facebook will start to process the data feed provided by Stylehub. Usually, it takes up to 2 minutes but please be patient, it may take a while to recognize all the product information. It also depends on the size of your catalog.
After the processing is completed, you will see a screen like this:
In the Upload Sessions box, you can check your result, how many of your products have been successfully processed and how many are missing some product details.

In case, you see a screen like the following, with 0 processed products then something is not quite right. Probably you need to provide more product information in Stylehub.
Don't worry, you don't need to go through all these steps again, you only need to provide some information then at the next upload, - which will happen automatically thanks to the scheduled upload -, you'll see the results, hopefully without errors.
When your data feed setup is successful, you can check your products under the Catalog / Items menu.
Missing Google Product Category
This is not a blocker, only a warning. Your catalog will work without a defined Google Product Category. However, we recommend adding and filling the attribute with the role "Google Product Category" in Stylehub during the product edit in order to avoid this issue.
The same products shouldn't be synchronized with multiple product feeds with the same language and currency.
